Next time:

-Artwork by Jim Hodges.

"I loved his work of nine attached canvases, slightly graduated in height, and attached to one another to form a circular space. I could make out vague shadows on the back of the canvases that seemed a bit like modified camouflage. From the inside, the canvases had designs rendered in gold leaf, some with geometric patterns, others with emanating rays. I was reminded of temples in Thailand and their use of gold in meditative spaces, and how the color works to transition from earth to sky, from the everyday to the transcendent."
