Just had to post this regardless of the evident contradiction of self-implemented rules and me still being deeply entrenched in the midst of the exams...
This is my favourite video created by the one and only adorable Sylvia, titled Thanks For Saving Me, and its narrated by her in a very intimate and personal way with all the thoughtfully artsy pictures alongside the incredibly revealing candid shots. I have a minor cameo appearance in this little tale of Sylvia's every now and then (and omg my hair was so short!!!) but thats not the point. I love it because she captures everybody's character and mood so perfectly and most wonderfully (although I suppose it won't make much sense to those outside of this privately exclusive time frame). It was also, without a doubt, one of the best periods of my life in NYJC- wild, crazy, busy, frustrating, fulfilling, and strangely beautiful with all the idiosyncrasies of various individuals.
Nothing will ever be the same again. We have changed too much (perhaps for the better?) and far too many arguments, feelings of bitterness and resentment, as well as deeper self-reflections, greater self-awareness and realizations have occurred since then. An unforgettable journey nonetheless. Thank God for the lovely remembrance of all things past.

Reminds me of 'Remembrance of Things Past'. I love Proust.
Ahah. Oh yea I had Proust in mind when I wrote it. Wonder why? Had Austen in mind too. Must be studying lit too much. Tehehe.
You get to study Proust for literature?

Ahaha. You get to study anything you want for Lit S Pp as long as you can prove its usefulness and other pragmatic concerns to fulfill the criteria of the exam paper. In any case, you can study Proust on your own what. Why not? I'm studying Plath, Hemmingway, hell, in fact everything, without any help currently and without much time left but I'm clinging on to the hope that I will not die when I take my exam on the 29th. Right, going to take art hist paper now... :/
Oh wow. I wish we were given that kind of freedom for LEP. Yes of course I can study Proust on my own but it would definitely be better with the guidance of teachers and experts. What exactly have you chosen to study for Lit S?

Btw, I was listening to Njosnavelin again ('cause I dismissed it as too emo a song) and am now completely enchanted. Still think its depressing though. Beautifully depressing.
Personally I don't fancy Jane Austen too much. She is great, just that I don't appreciate her works very much.
I love Hemingway's short stories; 'The English Patient' is a beautiful book; 'The Hours' is brilliant too; don't know much about the rest to be in a position to comment. I love Plath's 'Paralytic' and 'Birthday Present' though. I think 'The Alchemist' is overrated, but 'Eleven Minutes' is good.
Sigur Ros' songs are all very depressing.
